April Showers ... bring the rest of 2007's harvest

going through the cycles we experience in life, like a farmer it is imperative to understand the nature of our cycles of creative manifestation.  as we wind down march, we look forward to april, and what the month of april brings:


pluto retrograde ... pluto actually moves retrograde on the 31st of march.  pluto is basically at a stand still right now and everything in your life that you are experiencing these last two weeks of march and into the first two weeks of april are really the focus of this pluto retrograde as it is going to drag all these experiences and energies with it back over the galactic center ... just to give you a larger perspective than you've previously considered in your life.  expect things to demand your attention outside your present context ... remind yourself to step back, climb a few steps and take a view of your life from a higher or larger viewpoint.  engage dialogue with those who hold more wisdom, years on the planet, or larger perspective to help you see the areas of transformation you are being given to shape and mold you for the future.

the rain ... in those parts of the country that actually receive rain in april (which is most of it except for generally our desert southwest I live in!), there's a good deal of time spent indoors EXCEPT when the sun peaks through and there are those bright, crisp clean days to begin working on gardens and those things we are cultivating with the help of the rain.  among other things, water represents emotions, and we need to remember that emotions color thoughts in ways so instictive, habitual and unconsciously that our thoughts are often derailed before we can even have them.  clarity of the moment, and separately feeling the emotions and examining the thoughts to understand our own unique structure of emotions and thought ... when it works, when it doesn't, etc. is the blessing of april's showers.

easter ... christian or not, easter is a holiday of significance for everyone (even if just used as a reminder for the laws of energy).  in christianity, it represents the "resurrection" of the christ.  "resurrect" which is a french word means "re-source" or "go back to the source" ... its a rebirthing if you will.  to go back to your source and birth again the "I am" that has come to this time and space as the unique being of you, it helps you shed that which you accumulated as a societal, familial or other externally imposed pattern or habit.  the true "I am" can bloom again in a form closer to your personal truth.

passover ... need i say more ... the assumption of freedom from slavery.  not everyone can be free, not everyone desires to be free, not everyone chooses to be free.  however, the coincidence of passover in april this year (2007), a year of transformation (a 9 vibration), is significant for those who have a strong desire to abandon the areas of their lives that enslave them and keep them from being free.  passover is not a process -- it is not the process or struggle to be free, it is a celebration of the state of being free.  its like january 1.  it is the new year, there's no more waiting for the new year or new state of being ... it exists; you cannot go back and wait some more.  not everyone knows what to do with this new state, nor can some people even see it as being a different state of being ... but for those who can, assuming the role of a free person because it is true, is the biggest gift you can give yourself.

jupiter retrograde ... the planet of expansion and travel, movement and religion goes retrograde.  "oh no!  what's that going to do with all my new found freedom?"  nothing except test you.  your thoughts are critical.  what you think is freedom will be challenged and tested and at the end of it, only those thoughts that truly bring YOU freedom will survive.  remember, that most of our thoughts and ideas of what "freedom" is comes from information we have accumulated in this life time.  some of that information is good, but, given the level of freedom the earth actually experiences as a whole is not terribly high.  so, likely, a lot of the information you hold about what you think freedom is or isn't needs to be examined, reflected upon and ... dropped off at the nearest recycling bin, dumpster or bon fire.

saturn direct ... half way through the month, saturn will have completed its retrograde cycle of the past 4 months.  whew!!!!!  in the month of april, the 4th month of our year; 4 which correlates to 'structures, foundations, boundaries', begins with saturn nealy dead stopped as it makes its turn around to move direct again.  the areas of life you will experience during the first part of this month is your focus as it relates to structure -- and, as i mentioned above it will be largely focused on pluto and transformation -- the transformation of structure and foundations and boundaries.  what does your inner father look like?  is he the one grounding you so that your dreams can actually become reality, or is he the father blowing the wind beneath your wings so your dreams can take off?  or is he still the one saying "no, you'll never amount to anything?"  it is your inner father that needs to supplant, complement or silence the external father of your childhood ... it is time the inner father takes over ... what kind of father are you to yourself?  build new habits of support and foundation, based in the things of your values, expectations and dreams.  that's what this month is about as saturn moves direct on the 19th.
