does not come without some bruises.
how many times was dr. king arrested and put on trial?
what about gandhi?
even rosa parks was arrested and found guilty.
i join now a honorable list of "destructive" forces that we now honor as heros.
life is a journey and i will seek to enjoy this part as much as all the rest!
everything i was afraid of has happened, so there is nothng more for me to fear.
being a part of the transformative process in our evolution rather than being a part of the revolution that is happening is a privilege in self-exploration and growth unlike that you can experience in any other way. connecting to the divine through the path of the community and our social civilized structure, is one of the most challenging paths we can experience here on planet earth.
the promise land here in america, for me, is a community recommitted to the honoring of the children, the respect of children, the protection of children and the education -- real education that comes from the love of learning -- of our children.
our children deserve better, every single one of them.
peace & harmony,

Help

I feel that Elaine did everything that she did for herself. This had nothing to do with the safety of the children. If she thought that the children were in danger why in the world would she allow her own child to attend a dangerous school? I think she needed to feel important and the result was that she hurt her own child by acting in this manner. What did she gain? Well she probably did show that the school had a security problem…I am sure this could probably happen at any school….but what was lost in the message was far greater than that…her freedom possibly and to be with her own child. I don't however feel that she should go to prison but I do think she may need some mental health counseling.
Thank you for your comment.
Hmmmm … I'm debating whether to respond or not. Obviously, this is a comment from someone who doesn't know me at all nor do they know all the facts and circumstances. So, I'll just leave it at that and allow those who will, think I need “mental health counseling.”
“In this world full of people, only some want to fly … isn't that crazy?”
I am so sorry for your misfortune. It seems the laws in this country punish the wrong people. In your case, it was a total injustice. I can't understand how people will judge another person in a court of law on personality. Aren't we above that? Obviously not, we need people like you to speak out, so those of us who CAN NOT have a voice. Forget the the other posting because that woman/man does not understand.
You should bring charges against the school district. They are wrong! I mean, what kidnapper calls the police?
Your crime was that you shouted on the rooftops all the faults of the school district!
Thank you for your comment and support. “Kill the messenger” has been the way of life in human history for a long, long time. A friend of mine keeps reminding me, “Scapegoats protect the guilty. Mothers protect children.” I, suppose, am both in one being.
In the end, I know that I know, its the journey and not the ends that matter. Because in the end, as Dr. King reminds us, the truth bends towards justice. Life is long and our journey together continues.
